This spring, he returns to favorites as the Evangelist and tenor aria soloist in the Bach John Passion in Indianapolis and with the Arizona Philharmonic as well as a return to the Handel Messiah in Lafayette, IN. He also makes his solo debut in the Haydn Creation, among other collaborations with Washington Bach Consort in an all-Schutz program and his return to Kansas City with Spire Chamber Ensemble. Also this season, Blake made his debut in Amahl and the Night Visitors in Indianapolis, as well as mounting the likely-Midwest premiere of a Buxtehude extent Abendmusik Das jungste gericht as the Bad Soul or Willful Sinner. He looks forward to an all-Brahms program on the Brown County Music Festival later this summer.

Beckemeyer was the tenor Adams Fellow at the Carmel Bach Festival this past summer where he worked with Grete Peterson, Andrew McGill, and Michael Beattie. His past also includes singing with the major vocal ensembles in the United States including Seraphic Fire, The Thirteen, True Concord, and Oregon Bach Festival, Charlotte Bach Akademie, and the Weimar Bach Cantata Akademie in the summers. He’s recorded multiple CDs with The Thirteen, Seraphic Fire, and Washington Bach Consort, and was part of the Rocky Mountain Emmy-winning performance of Runestad Earth Symphony.
